Travel Info: We do travel up to 300 miles, per request. Our zip code is 30813. Our standard service area is Augusta, Ga and surrounding towns/cities. Please confirm your location before booking. We do have a minimun event dollar amount for travel. If the minimum is reached (varies per your location/distance) a travel/mileage charge is not charged.

Show your favorite movies with our high definition movie projection on a state-of-the-art, two-story outdoor movie screen and a concert grade sound system. We can change any size backyard into an entertainment venue that your guests will be talking about all year. If you’d like to make your event even more special, you can add music, gaming, nachos, candy, and fresh popcorn from one of our antique-style candy and popcorn machines or our restaurant grade nacho station. You can also take your backyard movie party indoors due to weather, with our indoor movie screen packages (gyms, recreation centers, etc). All of our exclusive movie packages include a professional sound system, premiere quality projector system, top quality sound, and a set-up crew. You can add on event design services, photo booth backdrops, chair rentals, candy machines, popcorn machine, nacho station, etc.

To customize your experience for a birthday, anniversary, date night, graduation or etc, please speak with our event designer. Upon request, our in-house event designer can customize your outdoor cinema experience by providing aesthetically pleasing touches such as lighting and decor to match any theme.
If you have already talked to us regarding your date, and it has been confirmed available, you can book online.

Our base package is $299. Included in the base package is the movie screen, HD projector, audio equipment, s'mores fire pit, and up to 10 folding chairs are complimentary but provided on a first come first serve basis. When you add on any of our concessions, you get 6 popcorn serving buckets with the popcorn machine (popcorn included too), 10 nacho trays with the nacho station, and 10 candy dispenser containers with the candy machine. We have three screen size categories: Our “Mega Screen" which is suitable for residential movie nights, parks and more, and then our “Jr. Mega" which is also suitable for residential movie nights for small spaces such as patio homes or townhomes with small backyards (about 4 feet smaller than the mega screen). Our largest screen is the "Super Mega XL"...it is huge! It is suitable for drive-in experiences, churches, corporations, or large yards.


Any event booked within 7 business days of the event date, must be paid in full. Your non-refundable but transferable retainer, reserves your spot on our calendar.

NACHO STATION NOTE: We provide the cheese for the cheese warmer. Only nacho cheese SAUCE is to be used. NO CHUNKED, HARD, or SOFT cheese, such as velveeta, is allowed. ONLY cheese SAUCE is allowed in the nacho cheese warmer. Therefore, we provide the cheese no matter if you rent the nacho station as empty or full. When rented as empty, you are responsible for your chips. We always supply the cheese.
Nacho Station $75 (empty)
-Nacho Station $90 (half full nacho chips; generally speaking, serves about 8-10 people. You will get a total of 15 nacho trays.)
-Nacho Station $100 (completely full; generally speaking, serves about 25 people. You will get a total of 30 nacho trays)
IF you are having more people than that, you can add on more cheese and chips. Please contact us for information. You can also buy your own nacho chips and approved cheese (as long as it is a cheese SAUCE) to refill the nacho station.

Frequently Asked Questions


Reservations are made on a first-come first serve basis and are tentative until booking procedures and deposit has been secured. Once this has been done your event is then guaranteed.


A non-refundable retainer is due at the time of booking. The final balance is due 7-10 days prior to your event. For more information on this policy, please click here. Once our crew is there to set-up, we do not refund rentals.

Weather Guarantee

You may shift event dates due to forecasted inclement weather. We will accommodate you with all our available dates. You must call to reschedule at least 3 hours prior to your scheduled event and/or before our staff has begun to travel to your event.

Weather Policy

If during setup or during the event the weather looks threatening (imminent rain, rain, looming thunder clouds, dangerous winds capable of damaging equipment) So Simply Amy reserves the right to protect its own equipment by canceling setup/production. So Simply Amy reserves the right to delay setup or to pause the production until suitable weather conditions exist.

Earliest Movie Starting Time

Our projectors are bright enough to see images on the movie screen 15 minutes before sundown. For the best possible movie experience we always suggest starting the movie 5 minutes after sundown. Sunset times are available from SunriseSunset.com. Techs will begin playing music immediately after the screen is set up.

Do I Need A License?

The answer is that it depends. If you are hosting a backyard movie screen party in the privacy of your own home you will NOT need a film license. However if you plan on staging an outdoor movie night in a public place you need to purchase the appropriate non-theatrical license. We will help you with the entire process.

Setup/Teardown Procedures For a Public Event

We begin setup approximately 1 hour before sunset.The Inflatable Screen will be setup within 3O minutes. Audio equipment tests begin immediately after the screen is standing, and projection tests begin at dusk. The Inflatable Screen will begin deflating 10 minutes after the end of the movie, unless otherwise specified by customer. After the movie, all equipment will be removed within 1.5 hours. Please note procedures may vary based on rental agreement made with customer.

Can I Get A Microphone?

Yes. All techs come equipped with either a wireless or wired mic.

Can I Rent Your Equipment Separately?

Yes. We are a rental company and we do rent equipment.

Can So Simply Amy stay for the event?

If you need an event crew or someone to stay to handle the equipment, you can pay for that service.

Public Place Theatrical License

As the equipment provider, we are legally not permitted to obtain the license for you, the end-user. You may obtain a license by visiting Swank Motion Pictures Inc. at Swank.com.
